Changes To Our Services During The Pandemic

In order to reduce patient exposure to possible Coronavirus, we have changed our appointments to telephone triage appointments. Patients queuing in the mornings will be turned away and asked to book a telephone triage slot.

We will, where possible, send the prescriptions electronically to a local nominated pharmacy. We highly suggest, if you are not signed up with a pharmacy, that you do so as soon as possible. This will help minimise footfall in the practice.

If you are feeling unwell and have travelled recently, do not attend the surgery.

Telephone Triage

All GP appointments will be triaged by a clinician. Due to high demand, we will have limited slots for the GP so it is important to be informed how this service will work.

Once you are booked into a slot, the clinician will contact you to discuss your issue. This call will take place before 12:00 for the morning slots and before 16:30 for the afternoon slots.

If the issue can’t be resolved over the phone, the clinician will book you in a face to face appointment at the surgery. Please bear in mind the receptionist will not be able to book directly into a face to face slot. Only the clinicians can do that if they determine it is necessary.

You can ring us to book a telephone slot. The reception will ask you for brief details, so we can give the information to the clinician performing the triage.

It is very important we do not put our patients at risk. We will endeavour to maintain an appropriate level of service to our patients but this will only be possible with your co-operation.
